In 2006, a few friends motivated Priya Sandeep to teach them to make a painting. What started as an hour of creativity soon blossomed to become a full-fledged learning activity leading to the birth of Studio Techne, An Art Arena.

Studio Techne, An Art Arena is located in South Mumbai and has learners of art of all ages starting from a 16 year old to a 65 year old. Students who never held a paint brush before entering Studio Techne are now confident to do a beautiful painting proving that passion and guidance is all it takes for anybody to learn art. “Teaching is learning” is the belief of Priya Sandeep. Priya’s Guru always believed that one learns the maximum while teaching and teaching art has made Priya a better artist and enabled her to sharpen her skills further.

“Techne” in Greek means art and craftsmanship of the highest order. Studio Techne, An Art Arena is a temple where art learners, patrons and critics engage together in furthering art and expressing creativity.
